3 months is enough for your preparation but you have to take more care of your 11th now. Since the concepts of 12th will be fresh and revised but you need to do the same for 11th also.
I myself scored 100 in chemistry, 60 in physics and 44 in maths which makes it 204 marks. If you want to make more than 200 Mark than read this.
So here’s the secret to score it.
Scoring 200+ marks in JEE Mains will be an easy task for you if you did it right in these last months before examination. Just consider following my suggestions and you’ll surely and easily reach the 200+ marks range. So complete your syllabus till December and then start efficiently for the rest.
Since, you said that you only get 3 hours for self-study, I’ll recommend that give your full concentration on 12th class only. Study well in coaching for 12th.
When you come home, cover topics of 11th.
Make a good schedule and follow it. Study 12th concepts for once and always. Keep on revising your 11th concepts side by side.
So, do it as mentioned below.
- Grab the strong subjects tightly
I assume that you must be confident of your chemistry or physics or both. Chances are less that you’re confident of maths but still if you are then it’s divine.
Anyways, Chemistry is much scoring and you should target to score 100+ in it and it’s doable with a little effort. Just make good notes for Chemistry as its mainly about facts and equations. Especially Organic, Polymers, Chemistry in everyday life, ores and metallurgy and other similar factual topics.
Be as clear on your concepts as you can in physics like Mechanics, electricity, magnetism, Optics (ray optics mainly) and yes make good notes of topics like semiconductors, communications system, EM waves, optics (Wave Optics).
For Maths practice the CBSE Ncert and do solve previous years papers. Be very good in formulas from Conic Sections, 3-D Geometry, Integration.
- Never Underestimate your NCERTs
The moment you underestimated the power of your NCERTs, you’ll not reach there. Especially for CBSE students, NCERTs will constitute up to 70-90% of your JEE MAINS 2017 syllabus and if you’re through with your NCERTs by heart, JEE MAINS is gonna be an easy feat for you.
The NCERTs of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths for Class 11th and 12th are a boon for JEE MAINS 200+ score aspirants. So, Lick up every concept and important line you feel is important.
At my time (JEE MAINS 2014), I scored 210 and I was a fresher only. I gave my 12th Boards exams till 20th March 2014 and gave the JEE MAINS, exactly after 1 month (online exam).
The thing I want to emphasize is that I mainly revised my NCERTS and that was sufficient for me to score a 200+. If your Maths is strong then you can score even better, maybe around 225 which is a great score. I scored only 50 Marks in Maths and hence could only score 204 marks.
